Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is a treatment used to minimize and eliminate spider veins on the lower legs and thighs. A solution is injected into the vessels to irritate the vessel walls which eventually swell, clot, and turn into scar tissue. This scar tissue is not visible to the naked eye which makes this treatment an ideal solution for the summer season. Minimal bruising and discoloration may occur and can last up to 2-4 weeks. Compression stockings are required to be worn up to 2 weeks post procedure. Some patients may require 2-3 treatments to get the optimal results.
